EDPA Foundation Announces Support Of Exhibitor Appointed Contractors Association and Randy Smith Memorial Golf Classic Partnership

The EDPA Foundation, as a primary sponsor of the Randy Smith Memorial Golf Classic, has announced its support for the new alliance established with the Exhibitor Appointed Contractors Association (EACA). In keeping with its mission, the EDPA Foundation’s purpose is to provide support to deserving people from all segments of the exhibition industry and, according to Rick Halvorson, EDPA Foundation co-chair, gaining support from EACA will help to expand the scope and impact provided by RSMGC.

In a recent announcement, organizers of tournament stated it will hold its 11 th annual charity golf tournament on Monday, October 10 th, 2005, at the Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Georgia. The RSMGC has appointed an Executive Committee consisting of Rich Johnson of Renaissance Management, Robert Laarhoven of Laarhoven Design, Susan Renner of the Term Group, Jim Wurm of EACA and Sharon Bingham of Champion Logistics Group to lead the charge in this event. EDPA Foundation continues the support and sponsorship of the event and welcomes the partnership of EACA and numerous volunteers that will continue the success of the marquee event.

Mark Brauer, Co-Chairman of the EDPA Foundation and a member of the RSMGC Committee stated, “The RSMGC is a great event for the whole exhibition industry.  All branches of the industry can work together under the Randy Smith banner to support our friends, co-workers and fellow industry members that need help.  As the RSMGC grows we hope that all industry associations participate and lend their support to this worthwhile event.”

Current EDPAF programs include the International Student Exhibit Design Scholarship Competition, which helps to identify and lead new designers to our industry through scholarships. Over the past ten years this highly successful program has awarded well over $100,000 in scholarships and prizes. The EDPAF also produces the Las Vegas EDPA Chapter Scholarship Golf Tournament, scheduled this year for August 9 th at the Stallion Mountain Country Club. Proceeds from this tournament are dedicated to providing scholarships to industry members and their families.
